The motive of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to produce engineers for development and Sustainable Growth in the Power, Industrial Drives, Control, Automation, Electronics, and Communication sectors leading to the wealth and welfare of the human population. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers undergraduate programs which are well planned and designed according to the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The program provides a broad engineering core competence that enables students to communicate and interact effectively with engineers in different areas of specialization. The program is dedicated to encourage independent and critical thinking in students and enhance their potentials to pursue high-quality research and design.  

The Department of Electrical Engineering has a highly qualified, capable and devoted faculty consisting of the right blend of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers and Lab engineers. Facilities including audiovisual aids and massively parallel processing research laboratories equipped with the latest technology give students a creative and stimulating learning environment.

  The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2009 and all batches are duly accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council under the umbrella of The University of Lahore, Islamabad Campus. Electrical Engineering Department will admit students for Session 2021 under “Ibadat International National University, Islamabad”. The Department has successfully implemented the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system in line with the guidelines of the Pakistan Engineering Council under Washington Accords.

Entry Requirements: HSSC Pre-Engineering with Physics, Chemistry and Math, A-level or equivalent scoring a minimum 60% marks, DAE, BSc Engineering Technology or equivalent in the relevant discipline as per PEC regulations with the minimum of 60% marks

  CAREER PROSPECTS Electrical engineering is a practical discipline with a wide range of applications and diverse career opportunities. These ranges from basic circuit theory to the management skills required for a project manager. With the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) that involves smart devices and increased automation, electrical engineers are going to be in high demand. From solar-energy systems to mobile phones, electrical engineers innovate to meet society’s communication, technology and energy needs. Our graduates are expected to work on a variety of projects with research and development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, communication systems, nanotechnology, control systems, instrumentation, microelectronics, electric power networks and many more through problem-solving techniques.
