Sample DescriptionThe department has been established with the vision to promote the development and appropriate use of the techniques for the promotion of health care. Our department has the honor to introduce BS Medical Laboratory Technology Program. Our BS MLT program is well known and appreciated for its excellent educational standards nationwide. In Department of Medical Lab Technology students are trained to examine all the data and results critically and to remain alert for potential technical errors. They are also encouraged to participate in the on-going basic research programs in the department and to publish their research findings in the reputable scientific journals. To begin transition to the “real world” they undergo rotations in basic skill laboratories and different sections of pathological laboratories at the affiliated hospitals. There, they learn handling and dealing of the specimen, Bio-safety management and develop understanding of the principles, basic skills and professionalism.
The vision of the Medical Laboratory Technology department is to produce competent Medical Laboratory professionals who are knowledgeable and skillful. Medical Laboratory Technology is the back bone of all the Medical Sciences. At the Medical Laboratory Technology department, we produce professionals with knowledge and skills to conduct various common and advanced laboratory tests, right attitude with ethical approach and clinical judgment required for competency as Medical Laboratory Technologists and Clinical Laboratory Scientists. This program will prepare the student to independently perform wide array of specialized and complex clinical tests used for diagnosis in fields of Histopathology, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, Chemical Pathology, Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics etc etc.
Sample DescriptionThe department of Medical Lab Technology will provide different opportunities to students in developing basic as well as advanced skills in the field of Medical Lab Technology. Students will undergo rotations in different pathological and research laboratories. Different Seminars and Workshops will be arranged by the department to polish student skills.
The applicant should have FSc Pre Medical or equivalent qualifications earned from a recognized Board/Institution with at least 45% marks.
