Our Mission is to establish a state-of-the-art Teaching, Clinical and Research oriented division of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation at Ibadat International University Islamabad-IIUI for basic & advanced skilled activities / hands on training along with quality physical therapy education in line with current national & international higher standards. Our Goal is to produce physical therapists who are expert in providing evidence-based practice through proficient and competent manner with high ethical and professional values.
University Institute of Physical Therapy (UIPT) is one of the biggest departments, under the umbrella of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS) at Ibadat International University Islamabad. The department was established in January, 2015. The launching milestone achieved by this department was an accommodation of so many migrated students from other known universities. The student count is substantially increasing every year with an equal raise in academic standard and quality. The department has initiated a successful trail of Alumni every semester since 2019. The faculty of this department consists of highly qualified clinical, academic and research professionals who intend to provide a conducive learning environment as well as to permit our students to ingress to the most advanced clinical, academic, research, and professional expertise inside the campus and practice settings under skilled supervision.
The department is equipped with state-of-the art Laboratories and Anatomy Museum for visual and manual learning in accordance with the course objectives. Moreover, at the moment three (03) dedicated well renowned Hospitals are attached with Ibadat International University for the clinical rotations and hands on training of our DPT students on weekly basis.
The research environment is on full bloom under the skilled scholars of the department which encourages the students to excel in the scientific field with innovations and publications in high quality Impact Factor journals nationally and internationally.
Our graduates possess clinical competence consistent with the preferred outcomes of evidence-based practice and are prepared for collaborative practice, capable of evaluation and treatment.
This degree is designed especially for those students who want to excel their career in the field of Physical Therapy. They will be Called “Physiotherapist” and will add “Doctor” as Prefix in their names and “Physiotherapist” as Suffix in their names. This Degree will provide professional skill to them and they will be in a position to get better jobs as a “Physiotherapist” in different health / clinical settings.
The DPT degree is classified as a level 6 qualification according to National Qualification Framework (NQF) of Pakistan.
We at Ibadat International University are dedicated to student centered program that promotes academic excellence through enriched curriculum, in lined with approved curriculum of national curriculum review committee of HEC.
The DPT program has a contextual foundation background in biological, biomechanical and psychological sciences that are assimilated in logical and scientific manner.

Program Duration: 5 Years (10 Semesters) Recognized By: Higher Education Commission (HEC) Eligibility Criteria: 12 Years of Education, F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/A-Level or Equivalent with Minimum 60% Marks.
The chief goal of DPT program is to produce physical therapists able to meet the needs of patients as well as society with participation in both professional and community service. In order to fulfil this goal, the department works on the following objectives:
  1. To integrate in-depth knowledge of basic and clinical sciences for planning, execution and modification of various treatment approaches that reflect the overall scope of physical therapy practice.
  2. To develop clinical competence in assessment, diagnosis and implementation of an effective plan of care.
  3. To train students with appropriate communication and decision making skills necessary to work in collaboration with patients and members of the healthcare team
The scope of physical therapy practice is dynamic and continuously evolving. It is not limited to direct patient/client care, but also includes community services, public health planning, administration, teaching, policy making and curriculum development.
Physical therapists operate as Independent Practitioners, as well as members of health care team with patients of different ages who have or may develop impairments of body functions and structures, activity limitations and participation restrictions.
Physiotherapists can treat a wide range of disorders, they are highly in demand today making career of physical therapy very attractive. Currently there is a lot of demand for physiotherapists in various government and private institutes, hospitals, sports boards and NGOs in Pakistan as well as in foreign countries like USA, Canada, UK, Australia and in South Asia etc.
The physical therapist works with a diversity of workload in all healthcare canters, often as part of multidisciplinary teams. A Physiotherapist can pursue his career in Academics, Clinical and research areas.
