Having more than 25 years teaching experience in several leading universities of the twin cities like IIUI, Fatimah Jinnah, COMSATS etc. She has done research specialization on ESP i.e. English for Specific Purposes on professional English.
Aim of the seminar on “Ensuring Safe Journeys” was to address the pressing issue of road safety, which has emerged as the third leading cause of fatalities worldwide. The essence of this seminar lies in the urgent need to safeguard precious lives through a multi-facet approach. The core objective was to save lives by generating awareness and emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules. Additionally, the seminar highlighted the integration of smart technologies to enhance road safety. The primary objective was to foster awareness about road safety. By shedding light on the alarming global statistics, the seminar sought to instigate a sense of responsibility among individuals, encouraging them to actively contribute to create safer roads. The second objective was to emphasize the significance of adhering to traffic rules is crucial in mitigating road accidents. The seminar delved into the reasons behind the rules, demonstrated how compliance contributes to a safer and more organized road environment. She also highlighted the innovative use of smart technologies to enhance road safety was a pivotal aspect of the seminar. Exploring how advancements in technology can play a crucial role in accident prevention was the key focus, showcasing practical applications and potential future developments. The statistics reveal that a significant portion of road accident victims falls within the age bracket of 16 to 42, particularly young motorbike riders. This seminar triggered a thoughtful consideration of road safety practices, especially among the youth.
