DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
Introduction
The Department of English at IBADAT International University provides an up-to-date learning environment on the basis of its good infrastructure and highly qualified faculty members. It aims to convey the knowledge of literary history, literary forms, literary as well as linguistic theories and a wide array of vocabularies and texts to the students in order to cater their linguistic needs. Our core objective is to provide the students with an understanding of appreciation of English language and sophisticated writing and critical thinking skills useful not only in academic field but in the world at large. The Department of English intends to arrange the student exchange system collaborating with renowned European universities to provide its students with the exposure of native English Society. In addition, it will hold International Conferences on English Literature and Linguistics in order to meet the international standards in the fields of academics and research.
At present, we offer Bachelor’s degree program in English Literature and Linguistics and Master’s degree program in English Linguistics. The student experience in the Department of English would be one of self-exploration and they would be able to study literature with multiple perspectives. Mission
The Department of English seeks to impart quality education in fields of Literature and Linguistics including the field of research in order to bring innovation in pedagogy and learning and will empower the students and researchers for a leadership role in the society through linguistic competence. We also look forward to become a center of excellence offering skills and expertise valuable in postgraduate work, teaching, research, business and publishing.
Career Prospects
The obvious career options after completing BS English program are key positions in teaching, civil services, NGOs, Embassies, media industry and other different organizations.
